According to Miras Arya, Seyyed Mohammad Sadegh Razavian said: The 13th Tourism Festival of Traveling to the Bustard's Habitat will be held on Thursday and Friday, November 9 and 10, 2024, coinciding with the golden autumn season and a suitable time for birdwatching in the tourist village of Qaleh Bala in the Biyajmand district of Shahroud. The head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department of Shahroud County added: Visiting the terraced structure of the tourist village of Qaleh Bala, holding an exhibition of handicrafts and souvenirs, and performing local music and ritual ceremonies, etc., are among the programs of this festival. He stated: Holding specialized training classes on ornithology, ecotourism, and herpetology, and specialized sky observation are other programs of the 13th Tourism Festival of Traveling to the Bustard's Habitat. Razavian stated: This festival is held with the aim of boosting the local economy, branding tourism, creating employment with an approach to using ecotourism capacities, and introducing the social and cultural identity of the region. The head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department of Shahroud County said: The 13th Tourism Festival of Traveling to the Bustard's Habitat is held in cooperation with the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department of Shahroud County, the Biyajmand District Governorate, the Turan National Park Administration, the Islamic Council and the village administration of the tourist village of Qaleh Bala, the Law Enforcement Force, the Malek Ashtar Resistance Base, and ecotourism accommodations. He pointed out that the tourist village of Qaleh Bala is located adjacent to the Turan Biosphere Reserve tourist area and is a candidate for Iran's World Tourism Village, adding: This area is located in the southeast, 5 kilometers away from the city of Biyajmand.
