According to the Public Relations of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization, Seyyed Mohammad Sadegh Razavian said on Sunday, May 10, 2026: The wildlife workshop, an effective measure to increase the awareness of the new generation about the natural and environmental values of the region and one of the important pillars in the process of the global registration of this valuable village, has started for children in cooperation with the management of Turan National Park in the tourism target village of Qaleh Bala.
The head of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Shahroud County added: This program, which is designed for primary school students of the village, is being held with the aim of familiarizing children with the natural, biological, and ecological values of the region.
He stated: Qaleh Bala is located in the heart of one of Iran's most important ecosystems, and the children of this village must become acquainted with the importance of wildlife, biodiversity, and the role of animal species in the balance of nature from an early age. Proper education in childhood is a foundation for the future conservation of this region.
Razavian clarified: In this educational program, trainers, using simple and child-friendly language, provided explanations about the importance of Turan's wildlife, the biological characteristics of animals, their role in the ecosystem, and proper ways of interacting with animals.
The head of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Shahroud County added: Children were also taught how to detect the presence of animal species in their surroundings by observing footprints and natural signs.
He elaborated: The interactive part of the workshop included question and answer sessions, educational games, and active participation of the students, creating an atmosphere that, in addition to increasing environmental awareness, strengthened the spirit of cooperation, responsibility, and children's sense of belonging to their village.
Razavian emphasized: These workshops are not just simple educational activities, but part of the village's professional path to achieve global registration, and the awareness of the future generation, the participation of the local community, the link between sustainable tourism and education, and the scientific introduction of natural values are considered key criteria by UNESCO.
