Repair of Sanitary Facilities in the Tourism Village of Qaleh Bala

According to the Public Relations of the General Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Semnan Province, Morteza Nazari announced on Thursday, April 18, 2024, that the village of Qaleh Bala has the potential for global registration. He stated that in order to develop tourism infrastructure and remove obstacles to the global registration of the tourism village of Qaleh Bala, the sanitary facilities of the tourism village of Qaleh Bala were repaired by the village's rural municipality. The head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department of Shahroud County added that tourism is one of the most dynamic sectors of the global economy, and infrastructure development plays a fundamental role in sustainable tourism development. He said that Qaleh Bala is located in a foothill region, and its houses feature stepped architecture. The proximity of the Turan Protected Area to the village, the preservation of historical houses and texture, and the abundance of ecotourism accommodations have turned this village into a tourist destination for Iranian and foreign travelers. The historical village of Qaleh Bala is located 21 kilometers from the city of Biarjomand, east of Shahroud County.
