According to the Public Relations of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization, Seyyed Mohammad Sadegh Razavian said on Saturday, June 9, 2026: In line with optimally introducing the historical, natural, and cultural capacities of Qaleh Bala village, the tourism guide signs throughout the village have been equipped with quick-response codes (QR Codes).
The head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department of Shahroud, emphasizing the necessity of integrating tradition and technology in sustainable tourism development, added: Tourists can immediately access accurate information including the village's history, walking routes, and a list of ecotourism accommodations by scanning these codes with their mobile phones.
He announced the design and production of smart keychains as a complement to this service chain and stated: These keychains, which are gifted to tourists as souvenirs, contain a dedicated QR Code that provides guests with a complete map of the village, essential contact numbers, introduction to handicrafts, local products, and a list of pristine attractions around Qaleh Bala.
Razavian explained the key role of local community participation in this plan: This innovative action has been realized through the synergy and effective participation of the village council, the Islamic village council, and the ecotourism community of Qaleh Bala.
