Pottery Workshop Held in Qaleh Bala Village

According to Mirath Arya, Seyyed Mohammad Sadegh Razavian said: A one-day pottery workshop focused on the environment and wildlife for children and adolescents, led and instructed by Ms. Ghorbanian, a skilled pottery instructor, was held with the aim of familiarizing the new generation with environmental values and endangered animal species, especially the Asiatic cheetah. The head of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Shahroud County added: Participants in this free program used clay to create various shapes, including tablets with cheetah images and small cheetah sculptures, and experienced manual dexterity exercises. He stated: During this workshop, children and adolescents, while becoming acquainted with the art of pottery, became more familiar with the importance of natural habitats and the role of Qaleh Bala village as the golden gateway to the Turan Protected Area, which is considered one of the important refuges for the Asiatic cheetah. Razavian considered holding such cultural and educational programs an effective step in connecting art, education, and environmental protection and said: This action was met with a warm welcome from families and officials present. The head of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Shahroud County, referring to the fact that the historical village of Qaleh Bala is located 21 kilometers from the city of Biarjomand and east of Shahroud County, stated: Qaleh Bala is located in a foothill region, and its houses use stepped architecture. The proximity of the Turan Protected Area to the village, the preservation of historical houses and texture, the abundance of ecotourism accommodations, etc., have turned this village into a tourist destination for Iranian and foreign tourists.
