
Nature and Village Tourism Tours Held in Qaleh Bala
The Head of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Shahrud County said that Qaleh Bala, a designated tourism village, welcomed nature and village tourism enthusiasts during the August 12–14 holiday period.
Seyed Mohammad-Sadegh Razvian said on Sunday, August 16, 2026, that eight tourist buses accompanied by tour guides arrived in Qaleh Bala during the August 12–14 holiday period. Visitors stayed in the village and explored its natural and tourism attractions.
The official added that purchasing local handicrafts and traditional souvenirs was also part of the visitors’ itinerary. In addition to showcasing Qaleh Bala’s cultural and economic potential, these purchases helped support local businesses and contributed to the livelihoods of the host community.
Referring to Qaleh Bala’s position within Semnan Province’s tourism landscape, he noted that the village has been selected as one of the candidates in the Best Tourism Villages initiative and is currently pursuing international recognition. With its diverse natural, cultural, and tourism assets, Qaleh Bala is considered one of the key tourism destinations in Shahrud County.
Razvian emphasized that Qaleh Bala is one of Semnan Province’s leading rural tourism destinations. Its distinctive village fabric, surrounding natural landscapes, and local cultural assets make it an appealing destination that welcomes tourists and organized tours from across Iran every year.
