
Phase Two of the Qaleh Bala Tourism Route Improvement Project Begins
The Head of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Shahrud County has announced the launch of the second phase of the Qaleh Bala tourism route improvement project.
Seyed Mohammad-Sadegh Razvian said on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, that improvement works along the tourism route of Qaleh Bala Village in Shahrud County had begun with the aim of developing tourism infrastructure and completing the requirements for the village’s international recognition.
Referring to the project as part of broader efforts to strengthen the village’s tourism infrastructure, the official explained that this phase includes completing the brick paving of pedestrian routes and improving sections associated with the village’s main tourism route.
He added that the project is being implemented as part of efforts to enhance Qaleh Bala’s tourism standards. Its completion is expected to contribute significantly to improving the village environment, facilitating visitor access, and preparing the infrastructure required to meet the criteria for international recognition.
Razvian noted that the continued improvement of the Qaleh Bala tourism route remains one of Shahrud County’s priority initiatives for rural tourism development and is being pursued in cooperation with the relevant executive agencies.
