Parenting Workshop Held in Qaleh Bala to Enhance Quality of Life
The Head of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Shahrud County has emphasized the importance of developing tourism infrastructure alongside empowering local residents, announcing the organization of a parenting workshop for mothers in Qaleh Bala, a designated tourism village.
Seyed Mohammad-Sadegh Razvian said on Monday, July 27, 2026, that Qaleh Bala, recognized as one of the villages selected for tourism development, cannot become an international destination solely by relying on its natural and cultural attractions. Strengthening social capital and improving residents’ knowledge and life skills, he said, are fundamental to this process.
Referring to the workshop, which was led by Maryam Keyghobadi, the official added that the session addressed topics including effective parenting practices, strengthening communication skills between parents and children, and practical approaches to improving the quality of family life. The initiative aims to foster greater awareness and resilience within rural families.
Emphasizing the connection between education and sustainable tourism, he stated that tourism development should not be limited to constructing facilities or improving roads and access routes. It should also focus on empowering local communities. Workshops on parenting and family education directly contribute to strengthening the social foundations of the community, enabling local residents to develop the cultural and social capacity needed to welcome visitors and actively participate in managing the tourism development process.
Razvian concluded that educational initiatives of this kind, alongside physical infrastructure projects, form part of the broader strategy to improve quality of life and strengthen social sustainability in Qaleh Bala. The ultimate goal, he said, is for the village to be recognized internationally not merely as a tourism destination, but as a dynamic, resilient, and cohesive community.
