Khan Khodi Police Station Partnership Strengthens Tourist Safety in Qaleh Bala
The Head of the Shahrud County Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts has announced an effective partnership between local authorities and the Khan Khodi Village Police Station to enhance security in Qaleh Bala, a designated tourism destination, and along the route to Touran National Park. He described the initiative as an important step toward improving the safety, peace of mind, and overall experience of both domestic and international visitors.
Seyyed Mohammad-Sadegh Razavian said on Sunday, June 7, 2026, that an effective partnership has been established between local management and the Khan Khodi Village Police Station to ensure the safety, comfort, and peace of mind of domestic and international visitors to Qaleh Bala and Touran National Park.
The Head of the Shahrud County Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts added that Khan Khodi Village, located approximately two kilometers from Qaleh Bala, plays an important role in providing security coverage for the tourism area due to the presence of law enforcement personnel.
He noted that this cooperation between local and law enforcement authorities has increased the sense of security among both visitors and local residents, creating a more welcoming and reassuring environment for travelers.
Razavian pointed to the growing number of tourists visiting Qaleh Bala, as well as the cultural events and festivals held in the village, and emphasized that the expansion of tourism activities has made it increasingly important to strengthen security and public-service infrastructure.
He explained that the effective presence of law enforcement personnel in the area not only helps prevent potential incidents, but also contributes to greater peace, order, and satisfaction among visitors.
The Head of the Shahrud County Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts further stated that Qaleh Bala, as one of the villages selected for the Best Tourism Villages in the World list, requires special and coordinated attention across a range of areas, including security, public services, and event management.
He stressed that strengthening these infrastructures can play a significant role in promoting sustainable tourism and further enhancing the position of this internationally recognized village at both the national and global levels.
