The head of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Shahroud County added: The Qaleh Bala environment room has been launched with the aim of education, awareness-raising, and supporting endangered species, especially the Asiatic cheetah, and can be a successful model of the link between environmental protection and rural tourism development. He stated: This cultural and environmental project was inaugurated with the presence of Fatemi, Director General of Domestic Tourism Development of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, and a group of national and provincial officials. Rezavian noted: The presence of high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage heralds broader support on the path to the world registration of Qaleh Bala and sustainable tourism development in the region. The head of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Shahroud County, referring to the fact that the historical village of Qaleh Bala is located 21 kilometers from the city of Biarjomand and east of Shahroud County, stated: Qaleh Bala is located in a foothill region, and its houses use stepped architecture. The proximity of the Turan Protected Area to the village, the preservation of houses and historical texture, the abundance of ecotourism accommodations, etc., have turned this village into a tourist destination for Iranian and foreign tourists.
