According to Mehr News Agency, Bahman Akhlaghi said: The "Turan Konam Iran" festival was held on Thursday, September 17, 2025, on the occasion of the National Cheetah Day in Giv village with the presence of Fatemi, Director General of Domestic Tourism Development of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, members of the National Tourism Committee, the Deputy of Development and Management, the Head of the Tourism Office of the Provincial Department, the Head of the Cultural Heritage Department of Shahroud County, prominent national professors in the field of Iranian cheetahs and zoology, and a group of enthusiasts and nature tourists.
The Head of the General Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Semnan Province added: The "Turan Konam Iran" festival, in addition to introducing the tourism and natural capacities of the region, plays an important role in raising public awareness about the importance of protecting the Iranian cheetah, attracting tourists, and developing sustainable tourism, and is a valuable opportunity for greater connection between people and nature and wildlife, and for familiarization with the unique ecosystem of Turan National Park.
He stated: Holding educational workshops, visiting Turan National Park, the Giv-Dezian tourism axis and Qaleh Bala village, stargazing, performing local and ritual music, setting up handicraft stalls, and visiting world-registered caravanserais were among the programs of this festival.
