According to Mirath Arya, Seyyed Mohammad Sadegh Razavian said: This festival, which was held concurrently with the golden autumn season and the suitable time for birdwatching, displayed a facet of the connection between culture, nature, and tourism in the region with the presence of provincial and county officials, including the Governor of Shahroud, the Mayor of Shahroud, and the Governor of Biarjomand.
The Head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department of Shahroud County added: This year's festival was held with the aim of introducing the cultural, natural, and tourism capacities of Biarjomand and Qaleh Bala village, developing sustainable tourism, boosting the local economy, and branding the region's tourism.
Razavian stated: In this cultural and tourism event, traditional and indigenous rituals such as the traditional wedding ceremony, the Tal and Mahtal rain-asking ritual, wooden dance, local music performance, and the rain puppet show were held, reflecting the cultural authenticity and intangible heritage of the region's people.
The Head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department of Shahroud County stated: On the sidelines of the festival, an exhibition of handicrafts, souvenirs, and local products was also set up, which was widely welcomed by visitors and provided an opportunity to introduce the economic and artistic capabilities of the village people. Also, eco-tourism and birdwatching training classes were held for enthusiasts, and planning for bird monitoring and protection of the bustard's habitat was put on the agenda for the next year.
He stated: Among the prominent parts of the festival were the unveiling of the bustard statue as the symbol of Qaleh Bala village, as well as the official village logo plaque and the plaque for the tourism event "Journey to the Bustard's Habitat," which is considered an important step in the cultural and tourism branding of this valuable destination.
Razavian said: The historic village of Qaleh Bala, located 21 kilometers from the city of Biarjomand and east of Shahroud County, is one of the prominent villages on the path to world registration and is recognized as one of the most important natural and cultural tourism destinations in the country with its terraced architecture, valuable historical texture, and proximity to the Turan Protected Area.
The Head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department of Shahroud County added: The continuous holding of this festival over the past 14 years has led to Qaleh Bala becoming known nationally and internationally, and it is hoped that with the world registration of this village, it will find a worthy position on the tourism map of Iran and the world.
