The head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department of Shahroud county added: This program provided an exceptional opportunity for participants to observe planets, galaxies, and constellations under the clear and starry desert sky. He pointed out that Qaleh Bala village, due to its unique geographical location and its clear, low-light sky, is recognized as one of the best places in Iran for stargazing and holding astronomical tours. He stated that numerous scientific and educational programs are held annually in this region with the presence of astronomy experts and domestic tourists. Rezavian explained: In this year's event, in addition to observing the sky, participants also became acquainted with the local customs and culture of the region. The head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department of Shahroud county considered the goal of these programs to be the development of scientific and natural tourism, the introduction of Qaleh Bala's tourism capacities, and attracting global attention to its cultural and environmental values. He expressed hope that with the continuation of these activities and the completion of the world registration process, Qaleh Bala will become an international destination for astronomy tourism and desert ecotourism.
