Holding an Off-Road Tour from Qaleh Bala to Rezaabad, Shahroud

According to Mirath-Aria, quoting the Public Relations of the General Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Semnan Province, Hamidreza Hassani announced on Sunday, April 4, 2021, adding: "This program was held with the participation of the Shahroud Department and the Biyarjomand District with more than 10 off-road vehicles." He pointed out that "Tourism and Rural Development" is the slogan of the World Tourism Organization for the year, stating: "This tour was also held with the aim of developing rural tourism and further introducing the biosphere regions of Turan and Rezaabad, Shahroud." The Head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department of Shahroud stated: "The participants in this tour, which was held in full compliance with health protocols and with attention to preserving the region's flora and fauna, traveled the route from Qaleh Bala, Delbar, Kalshoor, Chah Gholamreza to Rezaabad." He added: "This route is one of the scenic secondary and nomadic routes of the Turan Biosphere, which is planned to be revived and introduced to tourists by holding such tours." Hassani continued: "The participants in this tour observed wildlife and bird species, including the Saharan ground jay and various eagles, as well as the unique vegetation of this region." The Turan Biosphere Reserve complex consists of three parts: the National Park, the Wildlife Refuge, and the Protected Area, located 140 kilometers southeast of Shahroud and 28 kilometers southeast of the city of Biyarjomand, in the central north of Iran's desert. This region is the second biosphere region in the world.
