According to Mirath Aria, Seyyed Mohammad Sadegh Razavian said: The specialized birdwatching tour was held with the aim of promoting responsible ecotourism, increasing public awareness of biodiversity, and introducing the natural tourism capacities of the tourism target village of Qaleh Bala and Turan National Park. The head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department of Shahroud County added: Participants initially visited the historical and old texture of Qaleh Bala village and then, by attending the local anthropology museum of this village, became acquainted with the culture, customs, and traditional lifestyle of the region's people. He stated: In the educational section of this tour, a workshop on the topic of "Principles of Birdwatching and Identification of Wintering Species" was held at the Environmental House of Qaleh Bala village, where topics concerning the importance of the Turan desert habitats, bird behavior, and correct methods of observing and recording birdwatching data were presented to the participants. Razavian clarified: After the end of the educational workshop, the group proceeded to Turan National Park and engaged in field bird observation. The head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department of Shahroud County said: Turan National Park, as one of the most important desert ecosystems in the country, is a habitat for valuable bird species and also hosts a portion of the native and migratory birds in the winter season. He noted: During this program, participants became familiar with methods of identifying birds based on sound, flight pattern, coloration, and habitat type, and became closely acquainted with the importance of protecting this valuable natural area. Razavian clarified: The presence of a prominent species such as the Henderson's ground jay, which is a native and valuable bird of Iran, adds to the importance of Turan National Park in terms of biodiversity and makes the birdwatching experience in this region unique for nature enthusiasts.
