Mohammad Javad Kolivand, on the sidelines of the coordination and brainstorming meeting for the global registration of the Qaleh Bala tourist village in Shahroud county, stated in an interview with a Mirath-Aria reporter: To consolidate and accelerate the process of global registration of this village, a committee will be formed with the presence of representatives from the departments of Cultural Heritage, Housing Foundation, Environment, Land Affairs, the village head, and the village council.
The Governor of Semnan, referring to the working method of this committee, explained: Meetings will be held regularly every two to three weeks, and progress reports will be submitted to the Governor's Office. Also, the responsibilities of each department will be clearly defined, and in case of negligence or failure to fulfill commitments, the relevant department will be obliged to respond.
He emphasized that the global registration of Qaleh Bala is a strategic approach to tourism development and the stabilization of the local population, adding: Our goal is not merely to achieve a global title; rather, by designing fundamental infrastructure, attracting tourists, and creating economic prosperity, we must provide the ground for preserving the local and historical texture of the village.
Kolivand also stressed the necessity of observing global considerations in the implementation of development projects, saying: All constructions and renovations must be carried out based on successful global examples and within the framework of international standards so that the historical authenticity and cultural identity of Qaleh Bala are preserved.
He pointed out the need to prioritize actions based on global evaluation indicators and noted: We must first focus on areas where we have the lowest scores to be able to elevate this village to the level of standards required for global registration.
The Governor of Semnan announced at the end: The members of the provincial committee will be introduced by next Saturday and will be appointed with official notification. Also, the General Department of Cultural Heritage of the province holds the main responsibility for preparing and completing the file for the global registration of Qaleh Bala, and this process will be continuously pursued in cooperation with other departments.
