According to the report of the Mehr News Agency correspondent, Seyyed Mohammad Sadegh Razavian said on Sunday, May 31, 2026: Concurrent with Qaleh Bala village being on the path to world registration and the significant increase in domestic and international tourist numbers, providing sustainable water and preventing resource wastage is of strategic importance. In this regard, the project to reform the drinking water transmission line from Geyoor village to Qaleh Bala was completed through the joint cooperation of the Biarjomand regional water and wastewater department and the Qaleh Bala village council.
The head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department of Shahroud County added: In this infrastructural operation, by renovating the worn-out pipelines, while resolving the long-standing challenge of water wastage on this route, the distribution network pressure has also been increased so that Qaleh Bala does not face any challenges in terms of drinking water supply during peak tourist seasons.
He stated: The implementation of this project, in addition to meeting the needs of the residents, has provided a safe and desirable environment for the operation of eco-lodges and tourism facilities in this terraced village.
Razavian, referring to the geographical location of this village as the gateway to Turan National Park, noted: This action not only plays an effective role in conserving valuable water resources in the desert climate but also significantly enhances the quality of hospitality for tourists.
