The Director General of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Department of Semnan Province stated: The documentary "Qaleh Bala Tourist Village" has been produced. According to the Public Relations of the General Department of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism of Semnan Province, "Hossein Khajeh-Bidokhti" stated: This documentary film has been produced with the aim of introducing the tourist attractions of Qaleh Bala village and will soon be broadcast on national and international channels of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting. He said: This film has been produced by order of this General Department with the aim of promoting ecotourism and tourism in Semnan Province. Qaleh Bala village is among the target tourist villages of Semnan Province, which hosts a large number of foreign tourists annually. Qaleh Bala village is located 140 kilometers southeast of Shahroud and 24 kilometers from the city of Biarjomand. The foothill nature of this village has caused the construction of residential areas, agricultural lands, and gardens to be terraced, and this, along with the use of traditional and local materials in building houses suitable for the foothill climate, has created a beautiful landscape atop a vast desert expanse. Its proximity to Turan National Park and the presence of wild animals and birds such as the Asiatic cheetah, Asiatic wild ass, the Asian Houbara bustard, and others attracts many tourists and nature lovers to this village. Qaleh Bala's agricultural products are of very high quality, the main ones being wheat, barley, pepper, and turnips. This village also has green gardens of pomegranate, walnut, apricot, yellow fig, and grape. Staying and spending evenings in Qaleh Bala is very memorable. Observing the desert night sky, gathering around a fire (atishuni) with charcoal-roasted potatoes, accompanied by desert melodies and the sounds of camel drivers, and listening to old stories and legends by the elders, leaves an unforgettable journey in the mind. The most important souvenirs from Qaleh Bala village are pepper, cumin, pomegranate, sesame, and medicinal plants. The spring and autumn seasons are the best times to travel to Qaleh Bala and the Khwartouran region.
