According to the reporter of Miras Arya, Seyyed Mohammad Sadegh Razavian said: The file for Digi and Ashura Vow, related to the traditions and traditional cuisine of Qaleh Bala village, has been prepared and sent to the Ministry of Cultural Heritage with the aim of national registration.
The head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department of Shahroud County added: The first file is dedicated to the centuries-old traditional food called Digi, which is today offered to tourists as one of the prominent attractions of the local cuisine in the ecotourism accommodations of this village.
He stated: The second file is related to the Ashura Day vow ritual, a collective and deep-rooted ritual that is held every year on the tenth day of Muharram with the extensive participation of the residents, during which foods are prepared and distributed with specific customs for the blessings of the deceased.
Razavian emphasized: The national registration of these rituals and traditional foods, in addition to honoring intangible cultural heritage, plays an important role in the development of sustainable tourism, strengthening the local economy, and transferring traditional knowledge and skills to future generations.
