According to Mirath Arya, Seyyed Mohammad Sadegh Razavian said: In order to strengthen tourism infrastructure and in line with achieving the goal of global registration of the Qaleh Bala tourist village, paving operations have begun on one of the main axes of the historical texture of this village, towards the prominent Fanjan-khaneh structure.
The head of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Shahroud County added: The renovation and paving of this axis is being carried out with the aim of improving the quality of the tourism environment, organizing pedestrian spaces for tourists, and creating routes that comply with the requirements for registration on the World Heritage List. This action is considered an effective step in introducing the indigenous and cultural capacities of the village.
He noted: Qaleh Bala, as one of the most prominent tourist villages in the Khavar-Turan Protected Region, with its terraced architecture, unique natural landscapes, active local community participation, etc., has a suitable capacity for registration on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Razavian stated: Soon, a local museum will be launched at the Fanjan-khaneh site, as one of the identity-building structures of the village, to provide a platform for displaying the lifestyle, handicrafts, traditional tools, and oral history of Qaleh Bala.
The head of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Shahroud County concluded: These measures are being implemented in line with preparing the village for the final evaluations for global registration, and with the cooperation of the village council, the Islamic council, the local community, and other responsible authorities, the development-oriented process of the village will continue while preserving its physical and cultural authenticity.
