Commencement of Renovation and Restoration of the Water Mill in the Tourism Village of Qaleh Bala

According to Miras Arya, Seyyed Mohammad Sadegh Razavian stated: The renovation and restoration operations of the water mill in Qaleh Bala village have commenced with the cooperation of the village council and Islamic council of the tourism village of Qaleh Bala. The head of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Shahroud County added: The Qaleh Bala water mill has been a part of the historical identity and traditional architecture of this village for years, and the commencement of its renovation operations is an important step towards preserving the valuable heritage of the region. He explained: Our goal in this project is to reconstruct the building and internal components of the mill so that while preserving its authenticity, it will provide a better opportunity to introduce traditional rural lifestyles to visitors. Razavian emphasized: The restoration of this historical monument can have a special place in the tourism development of Qaleh Bala. The head of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Shahroud County stated: The water mill is one of those structures that possesses both cultural appeal and the capability to narrate past life for domestic and foreign tourists. Upon the completion of this project, visitors will be able to closely familiarize themselves with the function of these mills and their important role in the past, and have a different experience of historical and cultural tourism. He stated that the renovation of the water mill is part of the sustainable tourism development plans in Qaleh Bala village and elaborated: Qaleh Bala is a village that has previously attracted the attention of tourists and researchers by implementing events such as the Bustard Habitat Festival. Now, with the implementation of this project, Qaleh Bala will solidify its position as one of the country's cultural and natural tourism hubs more than ever before. Razavian said: Qaleh Bala village, with its unique terraced architecture and its location adjacent to the Turan Protected Area, is one of the important tourism destinations in the east of the province. In recent years, with cultural events and public participation, it has found a special place in the country's rural tourism.
